1.
She came to me gently, her hair hanging down Warm smile and pink lips, softening the ground Where I lay so confused, pretending to seem Oh so much wiser than I can really be As she approached me, I tried to speak Her eyes began to emit golden beams I stared in shock as she began to explode Not in a way that was human at all Light filled up the room, and I was frozen In what she spouted that February morning I can't explain this cruel world at all Something overtook me, now I just laugh as I fall

Savior 05:31
I opened up my computer Gave myself a fair warning one more time I sounded so calm and sure of myself So I took out that needle and stuck it in my side I picked up my old guitar Looking to drain all the poison from my mind I thought that feeling bad would turn me into some kind of savior So I scribbled out those words and gave it one more try I looked in the mirror and said Do you even know me? The fire inside your head died Someone got up and walked out to the cold breeze You don’t even know him You just tell him he’s all wrong But his hands are on you now I’m going on a road trip with my dad Looking to break up all these days gone mad Where I sit in my body, but I can’t stop exploring my mind So I pinched the thin skin on my hand and gave it one more try I remember sitting in the front seat, eyes half closed Squinting at the dashboard, miles of air into my nose And with each inch down on the gas pedal, feels like I am bursting out of myself I thought that feeling bad would turn me into some kind of savior But really dwelling in that world only brought me closer to my anger I feel like a hot stove Hurled into a frozen lake I watch it all go by I know that everything decays I know it ain’t healthy To calm yourself down By thinking about the universe In its massive pointlessness you just drown Instead I go home Get to know myself And I trust that more Than anything else

Wonder 03:20
A strange green gray light filled up the sky As I walked out to the eerie summer twilight The world is quivering like an injured child Clusters of dark spirits form clouds above the fire And I wonder, are you sleeping As the panic in my head Expands to my heart Ending the world again A little mouse scurried across the kitchen floor As I worried that my head no longer worked for what it's for I look down and see that I missed your call I lean my head against the two AM, and sink into the wall And I wonder, are you dreaming As the great waves come cascading On us all Dark butterflies flood the hall And when the day envelops your room You're calm as the ever moving moon Those dark shapes retreat into the sun Surprising everyone, but you just stand in the road and laugh it off And I wonder, did you feel it That bitter silence so ripe with hatred Or did you just hide it so very well Like I hide my love for you in the wishing well

Man 02:48
Ripping through this fog Like an ancient machine Like a divine being Longing to come home to you Been a thousand years Sleeping in the rain Slipped out of my mind Only her far away eyes Could quench my thirst I’ll push a mighty river through this fog Every soul on the hill Will hear my shame screaming out Lonely is a word That I’ll save for you Somewhere there is light That will gently hammer out a flower’s frame I’ll water her there In my garden green Scattering the stars Won't remember what lonely means But I am a man It’s easy to forget from time to time When I let my hair Flow long and freely watered by her light

Lay down low and look at the room Da da da da dey Close your eyes and open again Da da da da dey Count the ways the air moves around Your body like a wave Hold your hand to the candle again Da da da da dey Feel the gravity on your feet Da da da da dey Trust the goodness in all you see Da da da da dey There was a time when you’d look in the mirror And see that every day The world will see you through to the end Da da da da dey And the seagulls Say good morning Just outside They aren’t only in your mind Go and see them at the end of the night When the sky is a golden light And the smiling thousand suns Blink an eye, and you’re no one
