A strange green gray light filled up the sky
As I walked out to the eerie summer twilight
The world is quivering like an injured child
Clusters of dark spirits form clouds above the fire
And I wonder, are you sleeping As the panic in my head
Expands to my heart
Ending the world again
A little mouse scurried across the kitchen floor
As I worried that my head no longer worked for what it's for I look down and see that I missed your call
I lean my head against the two AM, and sink into the wall
And I wonder, are you dreaming
As the great waves come cascading On us all
Dark butterflies flood the hall
And when the day envelops your room
You're calm as the ever moving moon
Those dark shapes retreat into the sun
Surprising everyone, but you just stand in the road and laugh it off
And I wonder, did you feel it
That bitter silence so ripe with hatred
Or did you just hide it so very well
Like I hide my love for you in the wishing well
