i dont know what the point of going for a walk is
the only company i need is that of a dogs
and there are no dogs around here
i dont know why the lamps are so bright
there is nothing to see in the night anyways
i dont know why i say things i dont comprehend
or why im talking to you
you are not my friend at all
cut it out, that thing youre doing that i cant explain
youre smart, and I dont know anything
i never really went to school
my whole life ive been playing hookey and sitting in a window
my teddy bear just lit on fire
now im sitting in the snow and crying while i stare at a lamp post
at least my dog is still alive
he was there to comfort me as i walked inside in the morning
cut it out, that thing youre doing that i cant explain

im afraid that ive forgotten everyone i know
i cant recall their names and theres nowhere else to go
but right out the front door, and ill wander round this world
till i find someone i recognize, yeah
when i finally find them, ill grasp them so tight
and hope that there was no mistake nor trick of my eyes
i got no house, so we'll sleep under the stars
and laugh at all the people moving with haste in their cars
ill gather up my people till i find where i belong
we will sit together and all join in song
laugh about the days when we would wonder why
there was no place for us in the stormy sky
