a short story about a woman named sarah and her dog, a chocolate lab named daniel. sarah, stricken with grief at the death of her lover, decides to climb to the top of a mountain to die. accompanied by her beloved dog, the pair spend three days hiking until they reach the summit. as they finally get to the top, sarah becomes so tired from hiking for three days straight that she simply lays against a tree, holding her dog in her arms, and they peacefully die together. their bodies disappear and their spirits are seen joyfully roaming the mountain under the light of the moon every once in a while
